Valencia- College of the Canyons hosts its Third annual Turkey Trot to raise much needed funds for it’s Cross Country & Track and Field Teams and The Bonnie Heck Think Well Foundation. The Turkey trot is a three-mile cross country course through the school’s campus and along Santa Clarita’s hills. The event is held the morning of Thanksgiving at Cougar Stadium. Lindie Kane started The Bonnie Heck Think Well Foundation after her mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The Turkey Trot is described by its attendees as a fun filled day to burn off calories before Thanksgiving dinner. This year’s competitor Chris Low took first place, receiving a medal and a plaque. Chris battled it out, with two others at the last stretch for first place claiming his second win in two consecutive years.

Will there be a Turkey trot this year 2012 on Thursday 11/22? If so what are the details and how can we register?
