Locals gathered at Bridgeport Park with their lovable canine companions to help fight cancer at the American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life Saturday.
Participants helped raise nearly $11,000 for cancer research.
Bark For Life helps participants raise money for the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay For Life. Activities included live music, booths, a blessing of the dogs, and an agility demonstration.
Heather Warrick, a young woman that has battled cancer for nearly 17 years, spoke about the power her dogs give her to continue fighting.
This was the first annual Bark For Life in the Santa Clarita area.
