Republican Steve Cooley, who has been fighting tooth and nail to become the state of California’s Attorney General, has conceded to his opponent Kamala Harris.
The LA Times reported Cooley was trailing Harris by at least 50,000 votes and was one of the closest competitions in state history. Cooley had declared victory on election day but later found out he was behind. Since then, the county registrars have struggled to count more than 2 million ballots left uncounted after election day.
The victory by Kamala Harris gives the democrats in the state a clean sleep for this election cycle.
