Santa Clarita Marathon-Mayor’s Walk/Pancake Breakfast

The Mayor’s walk which will cover 2.6 miles starting at City Hall and ending at the finish line will be at the Westfield Valencia Town center. The wak is just one of five categories that participants can sign up for this year when the city of Santa Clarita holds its annual marathon on November 7, 2010. The marathon will cover 26.2 miles and will be along the newly open trails along the San Francisquito Creek. The marathon event will start at 7:15am.

The mayor will also be hosting a pancake breakfast in the parking lot of city hall and is open to the public. The cost to participate in this portion of the program is $20.00 and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt as well as a variety of information about the city’s many services and programs.

If you are interested in the marathon, it will cost you $83.00. The half-marathon is $66.00; 5Krun/walk – cost $35.00 and the kids k – cost $13.00. The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier and is USATF certified.
