“Art, to me personally, is my religion.” Art Gallery director Larry Hurst  has known he wanted to be an artist since he was a child. Although not teaching any classes at the moment, he has taught 2d design and 3d Design classes at College of the Canyons. He hopes to start teaching again in the coming semesters.

He is passionate about art and printing, and in particular, painting. With the help of his assistant, Virginia Arnold, he puts together multiple exhibitions in the art gallery throughout the school year.

Currently on display in the gallery is work from master printer Patrick Merrill. He encourages students to be themselves and to find their inner core in order to become successful artists.

This is an interesting article. I’ve never had Hurst before. I think I’d be interested in taking an Art class because he seems like a pretty good teacher.
