Cougar News reporter Jahruba Atkinson set a world record Friday for the most interviews conducted in 24 hours with over 50 interviews.

Atkinson’s interviewees included actors, musicians and music producers among others.

“I’m really, really excited about this. This is so great. I get to interview people I love,” Atkinson said.

He streamed the event worldwide through UStream.com from a suite at the L’ Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Atkinson said that no such record had existed and that his effort was more on setting the bar high.

“I’ve been doing interviews since eight o’clock this morning … I should be going until, umm, 11, 12[midnight],” Atkinson said.
