Last year Northlake Hills Elementary in Castaic, shattered the American Red Cross national record for blood donation with 178 pints in one day. This year they are at it again in an attempt to beat their own record.

Fat Tire Rolls Into Castaic

The 23rd annual Corba Fat Tire Fest rolled into the Santa Clarita Valley in mid October. The festival is one of the biggest mountain biking events held in Southern California. The event which attracted hundreds was staged within close proximity to Castaic Lake. Cougar News correspondent Chase Thibodeau was on hand for all of the day’s festivities.
