Kevin Anthony discovered his passion for the hotel management industry at an early age working in his father’s hotel. Anthony worked form the ground up, making beds up to working the front desk. After Anthony graduated college he worked at his father’s hotel before moving on to teaching regional hotel occupations for a few years. He then went back to working in the industry before he started his own business for  job training placement services. All that was done before becoming a teacher. Anthony has been a teacher at College of Canyons for the last 12 years, he also taught at the UCLA Extension program for 20 years and a few years at Loyola Marymount University.

Anthony is a very passionate teacher that has a strong connection with his students. Anthony’s greatest words of advice for his students are, “Never quit.” “Some of the things we fail at we learn the most from,” said Anthony. One of Anthony’s favorite quotes is from Abraham Lincoln: “People are as happy as they make their mind up to be.”

When Anthony is not in the classroom you might find him cattle sorting, riding, or county line dancing. Anthony also enjoys climbing, one of his great accomplishments was he has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Anthony say he keeps himself very busy and you will never find him watching TV. Anthony is also the proud father of two children. His daughter is a writer who works and lives in New York. His son is a Shakespearian actor in Los Angeles.
