Santa Clarita – The City of Santa Clarita has expanded it’s E-Service Program to the iPhone with a new application called GoRequest. Now the iPhone can help fill potholes? What next?
The program, according to Ryan Drake, City of Santa Clarita Webmaster, is designed to help make it easier for citizens to get issues around the city solved. Drake said the cities’ Technology Services Division is working to open up the government process, and help citizens find information and fix issues quicker and easier.
The program’s specific use is to report issues that citizen’s of Santa Clarita may find around the city; issues such as graffiti, illegal dumping, potholes, code violations, and Santa Clarita Transit issues; right from the palm of your hand.
The program uses the iPhone’s built in GPS function to tag a photo that you take to help the city find the issue and resolve it as quickly as possible. You can also submit comments and your contact information if you want to be contacted about the specific issue.
The application is available through the iTunes app store, both on your iPhone or the computer. You can also go to the city website at www.santa-clarita.com and there is a link to download the application from the iTunes app store. The program has no cost to download or to use.
