No one was injured when this plane made an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon.

A small plane made an emergency landing on a Santa Clarita street at 5:30 p.m. early this evening but the pilot and a passenger walked away unhurt.

Sheriff’s Deputies said the single engine Cessna I-77 was enroute from San Luis Obispo to Van Nuys when it developed engine trouble.

The pilot, 40 year old Kashif Khursheed, found a good spot for an emergency landing; Santa Clarita Parkway and Newhall Ranch Road, near the site of a housing development.

A cyclist in the area said the engine was off when the plane landed.

Khursheed and his passenger weren’t injured but his plane sustained damage to its landing gear and tail section.

No one on the ground nor any homes were damaged during the landing.
