Firefighters have reached 100% full containment. The blaze has been Extinguished according to the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. Arson investigations are ongoing.

AS OF 3:50 PM:
Firefighters are battling a brush fire that broke out this afternoon along the I-5 at Calgrove.  The California Highway Patrol has closed the Southbound side of the 5 as well as all lanes of The Old Road past Calgrove Blvd.

“It was pretty impressive driving up the 5 North,” said Ronald Entrekin, “Especially when a helicopter drops water right outside your window.”

Fire officials say 20 acres of the Newhall Pass near Valencia and unstable winds are not helping efforts to knock down the fire. Evacuation orders have been issued for the Oak Tree Gun Club and the Camelot Riding Stables in the area around the hill as fire continues to burn up it. Due to suspicion of arson, investigators are on the scene.
