UPDATE: 5:55PM PDT
An earthquake that struck off the Santa Monica Bay at approximately 4:10 PDT has been upgraded from a magnitude 3 to a 4.1.

UPDATE: 4:50PM PDT
The earlier earthquake epicentered near Baja California, Mexico has been upgraded to 7.2. This quake struck earlier this afternoon at 3:40 PM PDT.

UPDATE: 4:38PM PDT
A 4.8 earthquake epicentered near Baja California, Mexico struck at 4:37 PM PDT.

UPDATE: 4:20PM PDT
A 5.1 earthquake epicentered near Imperial, CA struck at 4:15 PM PDT.

UPDATE: 4:07PM PDT
A 4.1 earthquake epicentered in Cobb, CA struck at 3:49 PM PDT.

Both quakes from today are located with corresponding red squares on the map above.

UPDATE: 3:42 PM PDT
A 6.9 earthquake rocked Southern California this afternoon at approximately 3:40 PM PDT. The earthquake was epicentered in Baja California, Mexico.
