There is a very special and unique place to spend the weekend with your family. Only 45 minutes north from Valencia in the middle of Lake Hughes, a wolf shelter called Shadowland Foundation opens their doors for people to learn about the history of the wolves and how they affect the forest and their surroundings.
After a short class, the owner and trainer Paul Pondella brings in three young wolves that are trained to play with humans.
It is a very special moment when people start to pet and feed wolves. Shadowland foundation also offers an opportunity for visitors to spend the night in their cabins so that the drive is not difficult.
It is an activity for people of all ages. There are not many places where you can get so close to the wild and have a good time.
