MEA Showcase On Tap

Once a year, COC takes the time to put on a special show honoring the Media Entertainment Arts students with a showcase consisting solely of student created work.

The showcase gives the students a sense of recognition for their work; a chance to highlight what they have worked on the past year, and allowing others to appreciate it.

The showcase started nearly twelve years ago creating a proud sense of accomplishment for students. Every branch of the MEA department; New Media Journalism, Film, Sound Art, and Animation, all are featured in the show.

Paolo Davanzo, a former COC instructor,  started the event with students in mind. Davanzo strongly believed that students needed a place to express their works in an open environment.

As the showcase has grown in popularity over the past couple of years, MEA staff anticipates another full house. Recent attendees have included family and friends, to local community members and COC staff.

The show is on Friday, June 3rd in Hasley Hall, Room 101. The pre show festivities start around 6:15 p.m. with the main event starting at 7 p.m. There is no admission fee and free snacks and drinks will be provided before the show.
