College of the Canyons has kicked off it’s third year of the Junior High Summer Institute (JSI). Offered through Community Education at College of the Canyons, JSI allows incoming seventh and eighth graders the opportunity to explore careers at an early age.

JSI allows students the option of enrolling in a week-long track in a variety of different subjects including special effects, welding, nursing and sciences, robotics, animation, musical theater, engineering and fabrication, and video gaming. Each individual track is instructed by college professors who have professional knowledge in their field.

JSI will be running at College of the Canyons from July 5, 2010 through July 30, 2010 from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
