SANTA CLARITA — Despite the rainy cold day competitors and their families attended the 8th Annual Cranberry Classic Swim Competition held at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Even though the weather was less than desirable for an outdoor swim meet, the kids were happy to be able to compete.
The best part is the swimming and hanging out with friends,” said Adele, a competitor in the days event.
The winner of the 2012 Cranberry Classic Luxury Suite was the Riddle family. They were treated to VIP parking, pizza and a poolside enclosed tent after winning the suite in a bid war to benefit the event for $206.50.
There were multiple categories for each swimmer, the girls and boys age 5-8 started the event and went in order after that all the way to women’s and men’s events at the end.
