College of the Canyons Political Science Professor David Andrus took time out of his busy schedule to sit down and chat with us about his road to teaching, and what he does during his free time.
Receiving his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Cal State Los Angeles and his Law Degree from Southwestern University School of Law, it’s safe to say Professor Andrus knows a thing or two about Politics, and just talking to him you’re hypnotized by his intelligence.
When Andrus is not in the class room you can find him at several meetings through out the day because he chairs a policy committee for the senate, as well as attending the Academic Senate regularly.
When not at work, Andrus is an avid tennis player, enjoys reading and keeping up with current affairs, watching the Denver Broncos during football season , and he also plays the guitar, Andrus has been playing for over 30 years.
Andrus stresses that every student should inform themselves and do their research on Local and National issues, and to be aware of what’s going on in the world.
