UPDATED Nov. 26th 5:00 pm:
The Model UN Class will be hosting baked goods and grilled cheese drives throughout this week, so be sure to stop by and give your support!

College of the Canyon’s Model UN class is hosting a recycling can drive Wednesday, Nov. 14. The drive will take place at the flag pole in the center of campus between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The class needs to raise money after being invited by Harvard University to attend a Model UN conference.

COC previously attended a conference in Anaheim where they performed well and two students received awards for their achievement.

The class is designed to have students represent different countries from around the world. They meet to solve real world issues in a mock caucus. The course teaches communication skills as well as political understandings of the world.

In order to make it to Harvard, the class will need to raise approximately $4,500.
