Donna Summer dies at age 63

Donna Summer, “The Queen of Disco” of the 1970s, has died of cancer in Florida at the age of 63.
Summer’s family released a statement saying they “are at piece celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”
Summer’s disco hits included: “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “She Works Hard for The Money.” Summer was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
Summer’s death came while working on the release of her newest album. According to TMZ, the superstar was trying to keep her illness under wraps as she was working to complete her next album.
Summer’s most recent album, “Crayons,” was released in 2008.
Summer is survived by her husband, Bruce Sudano, daughters Mimi, Brooklyn and Amanda and four grandchildren.
