Mega Millions winning ticket sold in Canyon Country

Folks swamped Santa Clarita’s gas stations, liquor, and supermarkets to buy their lottery tickets, all in a bid to win tonight’s estimated jackpot of $640 million.

3 winning tickets were sold in last night’s $640 million dollar mega millions jackpot in Maryland, Illinois and Kansas.

But one lucky person did buy a ticket in Canyon Country that is worth $227,955. The winning ticket which was one of 29 sold nationwide and matched 5 numbers was sold at Canyon Liquor, 16507 Soledad Canyon Road.

Earlier on Friday, folks swamped  Santa Clarita’s gas stations, liquor stores , and supermarkets to buy their lottery tickets, all in a bid to win the record jackpot.

Mathematicians said the chances of winning the record jackpot were 1 in 175 million.
