There are two things that college students don’t have enough of. Money and time. Often students have to make a tough choice, choosing to sacrifice one for the other.
Whether it is buying Subway on campus because they don’t have time to go elsewhere and spending the extra money, or it is stopping at a gas station before school and spending the extra time, life is often full of these trade-offs.
Vending machines are an incredibly convenient way to satisfy hunger or thirst, and rather than walk all the way to the student center or cafeteria, they are nearby most classes.
After all, the student center and cafeteria are not very close to any classrooms, and are mostly out of the way, as well as being crowded. The draw of these two spots is there wide variety in food and beverage, as well as being near the bookstore and a nice communal area, yet the allure is dimmed by the noisy crowds and loud environment.
Vending machines are a quick, easy, and cost efficient way for a student to satisfy all of their needs. The only remaining problem with a vending machine is its limited selection, eliminating the variety of more crowded and expansive options.
College of the Canyons, Valencia Campus, offers more than 22 different beverage flavors, and a constant varying arrangement of vending snacks. All products coming from Aquafina and Pepsi labeled vending machines cost $1.75, leaving the customer not to wonder and simply choose.
The only thing left to make it more convenient is this chart, which is your one stop shop for any beverage needs. This way, you can know all the options that the vending machines have at COC and where to find what you want Food vending machines can be found on the second floor of Mentry Hall, the second floor of Hasley Hall, the entry of Seco Hall, as well as the lowest floor of Bonelli Hall.
