The Red Hat Society is the word’s largest women’s social group known today. Featured on the CBS Evening News January 7, 2011 to the Abbotsford Mission Times; April 18, 2011, this society is known for not only being a wonderful outlet for women to do good in their communities but they are making history finding a new home at the Smithsonian!

A recent quote from Brent D. Glass, Museum Director said; “The Red Hat Society is a wonderful, one-of-a-kind example of American culture and tradition. It is an organization that encourages strong bonds and living life to the fullest-ideas that are cherished by our society.”

So what IS their mission? They simply encourage women in the pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment, and fitness.

How did they get started? Sue Ellen Cooper, Queen Mother says “The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor and elan. We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next.”

Their testimonials are encouraging from women all over the globe which can be read online at their official website; www.redhatsociety.com . Angelflower says the Society has totally changed her life and it has opened doors for her to meet people from everywhere.  Another Jet says her doctor tells her she looks younger and her health is much better since joining.

Golden Age of Glamour is an event upcoming in Las Vegas, NV, USA  June 28-July 1, 2012 which is going to be a wonderful time of meeting new friends, and partying on a grand scale in the party capital of the world!

In an age where there is so much sorrow, it is wonderful to think that if you know someone that is elderly and could use a hug or two, this is a wonderful outlet that is not only local right here in Santa Clarita, but global as well which means they will have the opportunity to reach out further than the area they live in and maybe even find romance through a new friend!

Only the sky could be their limit!
